Castor Bay to Dungannon Strategic Watermain – 2011/2012

Works Undertaken – On the scheme McMackin Contracts were responsible for the installation of 20km of water-main varying in size from 710mm to 180mm both in PE and Ductile Iron.
McMackin Contracts also carried out a substantial amount of site works to various sites on the scheme. The works included substantial muck-shift to facilitate the construction of new infrastructure, new drainage, ducting and other apparatus throughout sites.
McMackin Contracts also carried out a substantial amount of surfacing on the scheme including tar, concrete and paving.
Various elements of concrete works were also undertaken by McMackin Contracts on the scheme including the sub-structures for new buildings as well as various elements of building works.
Quality Control was of vital importance on the scheme. McMackin Contracts developed a Quality Management Plan for the scheme for all the various elements of the scheme they were working on which included pipeline testing and reinstatement testing.
