Project Description

Davagh Forest Play Park

Works Undertaken – The scheme involved an initial design of the proposed play park which was undertaken by McMackin Contracts in-house design team. Following the acceptance of the design all required Health and Safety and Environmental and Quality information was submitted to the Client.
Environmental Protection was of paramount importance on the scheme given the delicate environmental nature of the site.
The works involved the filling of an area with approximately 4000m3 of imported fill material, kerbing, drainage, installation of play equipment and safety surfacing. A significant amount of fencing was also carried out as part of the scheme.
The high specification of equipment and surfacing that was required on the scheme was carried out to the satisfaction of the client. McMackin Contracts employed a specialist subcontractor on the scheme to complete the wet pour/safety surfacing. This subcontractor was chosen only after passing the stringent checks and controls that the company has in place for sub-contractor procurement.
